On Friday, Fox19 reporter Tracey Johnson came to the new Princeton Community Middle School building to give the public a peek at the inside.
Johnson, a Princeton graduate, was excited to return home and learn about the new building and its facilities.
In a series of live segments broadcast during the Fox19 morning show, Johnson interviewed people such as 6-12 principle Mr. Sprankles, Superintendent Dr. Pack, and building architect Christie Boron. They explained how the new school was designed, showed a tech hub, a classroom, and the Middle School media center, Odin’s Den.
With less than 24 hours notice, Mr. Sprankles and Middle School principal Ms. Durham had to decide the best way to show the new Princeton building to the public. Luckily, teachers and students were flexible and able to help out.
Johnson expressed interest in returning to do more segments when other parts of the building are completed.
Senior student leaders from Odin’s Word and the Viking News Network were invited over to see behind the scenes of how video news is produced on location.
